Pinoy Ako!

Yesterday marked another historic event for my country.  A new President of the Republic was inaugurated and a new era has begun.

I am proud to be a Filipino and I am willing to do my part not only because I’m asked to but because it is the right thing to do.  Not only for my country but most especially for me.  I believe that we Filipinos have a lot more to offer.  We just tend to neglect the small things that are important and vital.  We should indeed learn from our mistakes and support each other.  Support and dream well that all our hopes and prayers be turned into reality if not within the next 6 years but in the next administrations to come.

Change starts within us.  If there are people who are not willing to change nor compromise, then some of our efforts if not all will be just a gust of wind.  Felt but not really seen.

The war of the colors is a thing of the past and we should stand as one and wear only one color, OUR color – KAYUMANGGI.  Together withe my other countrymen, I encourage and ask for all Filipinos whether in the country or working overseas to help yourself.  Help each other become better people and countrymen.  And help the country by bringing out the best in us and showing the world that WE CAN.

I am proud to be a Filipino and I am proud to say that I will do my part regardless how small it is.
